Huawei P10 Plus Phonography – Butterflies

Today I’d like to share some more photos taken with the Huawei P10 Plus. This time around the subjects are butterflies. Let’s see how well does this Huawei do with macro shots, the photos below are straight from the camera/phone (whichever you relate to more) without any further post-processing or cropping.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][sc_gallery gallery_type=”grid” gallery_no_gaps=”1″ gallery_hover=”zooming-blur” gallery_gallery=”127″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Personally, I find the P10 Plus to be quite capable at taking photos so far. However with smaller subjects like the butterflies above, it is quite difficult to get the focusing correct. Even-though you may have ‘focused’ the shot by tapping on the screen, but it’s not all too accurate, perhaps it’s cause of the size of our fingers that makes it challenging to have pin-point focusing accuracy.

If you do manage to get the focus point correct, you will find that your shots will be sharp with fine details. As you can see from the above shots, some of the focusing is not at where I would want it to be. But hey, macro photography is challenging even with a DSLR, so I guess we should not expect getting the same performance out of a phone camera.

Stay tuned to I am Xennial as I share more of my phonography adventures with this Leica enabled device. Till then, do leave your thoughts below on your experience with the phone (if you have one) and what you think of the photos and will the camera performance be a determining factor for your purchase decision?

Signing off for now.
